Last Updated: September 19, 2026

MALA Technology Advisors, LLC ("MALA," "we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and protect personal information when you visit www.malatechadvisors.com, contact us, request information, register for an event, subscribe to communications, or otherwise interact with our website and services (collectively, the "Services").

This Privacy Policy applies to information MALA controls. It does not apply to information processed independently by third-party providers, vendors, or websites under their own privacy policies.

1. Information We Collect

Depending on how you interact with us, we may collect:

Information You Provide

  • Contact information, such as your name, business email address, telephone number, company, job title, and mailing address.
  • Inquiry and relationship information, including the content of messages, requested services, technology interests, project details, meeting notes, and communications with us.
  • Event and marketing information, such as event registrations, communication preferences, and responses to surveys or forms.
  • Business transaction information related to prospective or active advisory engagements, vendor evaluations, proposals, contracts, or referrals.
  • Any other information you voluntarily provide.

Please do not submit highly sensitive personal information through general website forms unless we specifically request it through an appropriate secure method.

Information Collected Automatically

When you use the website, we and our service providers may automatically collect certain technical and usage information, including:

  • Internet Protocol address and approximate location derived from it.
  • Browser type, device type, operating system, and language settings.
  • Pages viewed, links clicked, referring pages, visit dates and times, and other interaction data.
  • Cookie identifiers and similar online identifiers.

We may collect this information through cookies, pixels, tags, logs, analytics tools, and similar technologies. Where required, we will request consent before using non-essential cookies. You can manage cookies through the consent tool presented on the website, if available, and through your browser settings. Disabling cookies may affect certain website functions.

2. How We Use Personal Information

We may use personal information to:

  • Respond to inquiries and provide requested information.
  • Deliver, administer, personalize, and improve the Services.
  • Understand business needs and coordinate technology evaluations, introductions, proposals, and advisory activities.
  • Communicate about meetings, events, resources, services, news, and other information that may be relevant to you.
  • Maintain business records, manage relationships, and operate our company.
  • Monitor website performance, analyze usage, troubleshoot issues, and improve security.
  • Detect, investigate, and prevent fraud, misuse, security incidents, and other harmful activity.
  • Comply with applicable law, legal process, contractual obligations, and lawful requests.
  • Establish, exercise, or defend legal claims.
  • Carry out another purpose disclosed when the information is collected or with your consent.

Where applicable law requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on consent, performance of a contract, compliance with legal obligations, and our legitimate business interests, as appropriate.

3. How We Disclose Personal Information

We may disclose personal information to:

  • Service providers: Companies that support website hosting, analytics, customer relationship management, email, communications, scheduling, cybersecurity, professional services, and other business operations.
  • Technology providers and business partners: When you ask us to obtain information, coordinate an evaluation, facilitate an introduction, request a proposal, or otherwise involve a provider or partner in your project. We will disclose information reasonably necessary for that purpose.
  • Professional advisers: Attorneys, accountants, insurers, auditors, and other advisers who assist our business.
  • Authorities and other parties for legal reasons: When reasonably necessary to comply with law, legal process, or lawful requests; enforce agreements; protect rights, safety, or property; or investigate suspected wrongdoing.
  • Transaction participants: In connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, sale of assets, bankruptcy, or similar business transaction, subject to appropriate safeguards.
  • Other parties: At your direction, with your consent, or as otherwise disclosed when information is collected.

MALA does not sell personal information for money. We do not knowingly use or disclose personal information for targeted advertising or cross-context behavioral advertising. If our practices change, we will update this Policy and provide any legally required choices before applying the change.

4. Vendor-Sponsored Business Model

MALA provides technology advisory and brokerage services. Clients generally do not pay MALA directly for these advisory services. MALA may receive compensation from participating technology providers if a client chooses to purchase a solution. This compensation model does not authorize a provider to use personal information for unrelated purposes, and providers that independently control personal information are responsible for their own privacy practices.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this Policy, including to maintain business and transaction records, manage relationships, comply with legal or contractual requirements, resolve disputes, and enforce agreements. Retention periods vary depending on the nature of the information, the relationship, and applicable obligations. We may retain deidentified or aggregated information where permitted by law.

6. Data Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect personal information. No system, transmission, or storage method is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for using appropriate care when transmitting information online.

7. Your Privacy Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live and subject to applicable exceptions, you may have the right to:

  • Confirm whether we process your personal information and access that information.
  • Correct inaccuracies in your personal information.
  • Request deletion of personal information.
  • Obtain a portable copy of certain personal information.
  • Opt out of certain sales, targeted advertising, or profiling activities, if applicable.
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent.
  • Appeal our decision concerning a privacy request.
  • Receive equal service and not be discriminated against for exercising a privacy right.

To submit a request, use the contact information in Section 13 and clearly describe your request. We may need to verify your identity and authority before responding. You may use an authorized agent where permitted by law, but we may require proof of authorization and identity verification. If we deny a request, you may appeal by contacting us and writing "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line.

These rights are not absolute. We may deny or limit a request when permitted or required by law, including when an exemption applies.

Marketing Communications

You may unsubscribe from marketing emails by using the unsubscribe link in the message or contacting us. We may still send non-promotional communications related to an active business relationship, requested information, transactions, security, or legal notices.

Global Privacy Control and Do Not Track

Where legally required and technically supported, we will treat a recognized browser-based opt-out preference signal, such as Global Privacy Control, as a request to opt out for the browser or device sending the signal. Because there is not a uniform industry standard for "Do Not Track" signals, the website may not respond to all such signals.

8. Information About Children

The Services are intended for business users and are not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the website. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, please contact us so we can review and, where appropriate, delete it.

9. Third-Party Websites and Services

The website may contain links to third-party websites, platforms, social networks, providers, or services. We do not control and are not responsible for their content, security, or privacy practices. Review the privacy notice of any third party before providing information.

10. Information Processed for Clients

In some engagements, MALA may process information on behalf of a business client. In those circumstances, the client may control the information and its privacy practices. Requests concerning information controlled by a client should be directed to that client. We will assist the client as required by applicable law or contract.

11. International Visitors

MALA is based in the United States. If you access the Services from another country, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other locations where our service providers operate. Privacy laws in those locations may differ from the laws where you live. Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers.

12. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Policy periodically. We will post the revised version on the website and update the "Last Updated" date. If changes are material, we will provide additional notice when required by law. Your continued use of the Services after the effective date of an updated Policy is subject to the revised Policy.
